Jawai Safari Price & Cost

How much does a Jawai leopard safari cost? Prices are set per jeep — not per person — so a group of up to six shares one fare. Below is a full breakdown of every safari type, what is included, and what changes the price.

Jawai safari price list

Each open 4x4 jeep seats up to six guests, and the rates below are for the whole vehicle:

Prices are per jeep and can vary slightly with the season and availability. We’ll confirm the exact fare for your chosen dates on WhatsApp before you book.

Per jeep, not per person

The fare covers the entire jeep, so the more people you share with, the lower the cost per head. For a family or a group of friends filling all six seats, a standard morning or evening safari is the most economical way to go. Solo travellers and couples who prefer not to share with strangers can book a private jeep for exclusive use at a higher flat rate.

What a shared jeep costs per person

Because you pay for the jeep rather than the seat, the cost per head drops as the vehicle fills. Taking a standard morning or evening drive at ₹4,500 per jeep as an example: six guests sharing works out at about ₹750 each, four guests at roughly ₹1,125 each, and two guests at ₹2,250 each. If you are a couple or travelling solo and want to keep the cost down, ask us whether we can seat you on a shared jeep rather than booking a whole vehicle privately. Message us with your date and we’ll let you know whether a shared jeep is available.

Is a private safari worth it?

A private jeep costs more, but you get the vehicle entirely to yourselves — your own pace, no strangers, and the freedom to linger at a sighting or reposition for a photograph. It suits families, groups of friends, and photographers who want control over timing. If value matters more than exclusivity, a shared standard drive delivers the same wildlife for a lower fare.

Getting the best value

  • Fill the jeep. A group of six splits the fare furthest.
  • Do both drives as a full day rather than booking two separate outings if you want maximum time in the field.
  • Ask about multi-safari plans if you are staying two or more nights. Tell us how many drives you’d like and we’ll suggest the best rate for your stay.

What is included

Every safari fare includes:

  • The open 4x4 jeep for the duration of the drive.
  • An expert naturalist guide who tracks the sightings and reads the terrain.
  • Pickup and drop for your chosen point — see the safari booking page for how to set this up.
  • Light refreshments on the drive, such as tea and cookies on the morning safari.

Any reserve entry or jeep permit charges are confirmed with your quote, so the price you approve is the price you pay.

What affects the price

  • Private vs shared jeep — an exclusive vehicle costs more than sharing.
  • Photography safaris carry fewer guests and extended sighting time, which is reflected in the rate.
  • Full-day safaris combine both drives with a picnic, so they price higher than a single outing.
  • Season and demand — the October-to-March peak is busiest; read the best time to visit Jawai to plan around it.

How to pay

There is no online payment or booking account. Once we confirm your slot on WhatsApp we share the payment options directly, so you always see the total before committing. We accept UPI, bank transfer and cash, confirmed when we hold your slot. When you are ready, message us your dates and group size and we will send a quote and hold your jeep.
